Hedvábí (Silk)
Actor and musician Miloslav König, recenly awarded the Thalia Award for the role of Michel Houellebecq, is releasing a new album of his original songs. The nine new tracks represent a personal statement based on fragments of diary entries, dreams and situations he experienced. In terms of production, it is again a purely solo act – König plays all the instruments himself and works with their layering. Stylistically, he does not deviate from the genre "contemplative folk", which he used in connection with his previous album "Srdcem ženou" (2018). König's singing is varied, convincing and confident, finely nuanced in expression and color. The order of the songs on the album corresponds, with one exception, to the sequence in which they were created - gradually and intuitively. "On the new album, I'm undoubtedly following up on the previous one, where I created a kind of my own signature or style. At the same time, I am moving on in my work with sound, with its color. I dare say that Silk is more relaxed. As if I work on it with more self-confidence, as if I believe more that this is the right way and I don't have to prove anything to anyone. Just let it flow and play,” says Miloslav König.
