A foremost Czech pianist, Najponk has focussed his entire career on masterful performance of classical jazz repertoire and has invited the legendary bassist George Mraz and the British drummer Matt Fishwick to join him on his new trio album. This collection of exceptional performances of some of the better- but also less-known items on the list of Najponk’s favourite standards includes works by Thelonious Monk and Ron Carter as well as one of Najponk’s own compositions.
