Orquestrina
The world-renowned French horn player Radek Baborák has chosen for his new album “Orquestrina” compositions inspired by dance in its various forms. The recording features music which is not normally part of the horn repertoire and in addition to better-known authors such as Astor Piazzolla, Gabriel Fauré or Maurice Ravel, it also contains music by Lev Kogan, Corrado Saglieti or Antonio Lauro. The ensemble consists of some great soloists and chamber music players, including the harpist Jana Boušková and members of the Epoque Quartet or Clarinet Factory. Many of the compositions are presented in new arrangements created especially for this project. The album teems with energy and is marked by masterful performance.
