Tiburtina Ensemble

The female vocal ensemble Tiburtina Ensemble was established in 2008 in Prague and is the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic. It is dedicated to the interpretation of Gregorian chant, medieval polyphony and contemporary music. During its more than ten years of existence, the ensemble has gained a solid position in the field of interpretation of early music and ranks among the top in its field. It is particularly appreciated for its unique sound color, warmth of expression and dramaturgical creativity. 

The ensemble has performed numerous times at home and especially abroad, where it regularly performs at festivals in Belgium, France and the United States. In addition to her work with the Tiburtina Ensemble, the founder and artistic director of the ensemble Barbora Kabátková is regularly invited as a soloist to collaborate with ensembles such as Collegium Vocale Gent, Collegium Marianum, Collegium 1704, Musica Florea, Cappella Mariana, Concerto Melante, Accentus Austria, La Grand Chapelle, ConcertoPalatino, Il Gardellino, Ricercar Consort and others.
