EVIYAN is an acoustic trio ensemble co-founded by the famous Czech singer and violinist Iva Bittová, who currently lives in the USA, and two notable representatives of the US alternative music circuit: the guitarist and composer Gyan Riley and bass-clarinetist, composer,- and producer Evan Ziporyn. Their first studio album, “Nayive”, consists of their own acoustic compositions and improvisations combined in a fresh yet highly sophisticated whole rooted in the folk as well as minimalistic and classical traditions. The project is notable also for the compositional mastery and exceptional performing skills of the three musicians. The sound of the classical guitar, bass clarinet and Bittová’s original voice melt together to paint a very natural and colourful image.
