Zvon
Iva Bittová is one of the few Czech artists who have made a successful career abroad. Her new CD “Zvon” (The Bell) is a large-scale project exploring a broad range of sound. It comprises some older as well as some more recent compositions from Bittová´s repertoire arranged for a symphonic orchestra. The arrangements are by Petr Ostrouchov, a producer and film-score composer, and the composer, pianist and producer Beata Hlavenková. The studio recordings present a fresh combination of the original compositions’ minimalistic structure with the multi-layered sound of an orchestra and solo instruments. This is a colourful, dynamic music influenced by many various genres and styles.
